Deepfakes are hyper-realistic but entirely fake videos, audio, and images created using artificial intelligence and machine learning. They are becoming a growing threat to businesses and individuals alike. Attackers can now convincingly imitate voices and faces to manipulate employees, spread disinformation, or carry out fraud in ways that are almost impossible to detect. The consequences? Financial loss, reputational damage, and compromised trust.
This training helps participants understand what deepfakes are, how they can be misused, and how to recognise and respond to potential threats. Through live demonstrations, expert-led sessions, and practical examples, we aim to raise awareness and strengthen your ability to defend against manipulation.
Fake voices, fake videos, real consequences.
Join our free webinar "Deepfakes – CEO Impersonation " and explore one of today’s most dangerous and fast-evolving threats: CEO impersonation fraud.
You will learn how these scams work, how deepfake technology is making them even more convincing, and what real cases from Central and Eastern Europe can teach us.
During the webinar our cyber and forensic experts will explain why these attacks often succeed (not because of technology, but because of weak internal controls). You will also see a live deepfake demo, followed by practical tips on what to do next, from compromise assessment to internal investigation.
This open training raises awareness and equips participants with practical tools to recognise and respond to deepfake and impersonation threats. It includes live demonstrations and is delivered in an interactive format, accessible to professionals across departments. The course is structured into four key areas, drawing on the expertise of PwC’s cyber, forensic, and risk specialists.
Led by our cybersecurity team, this session focuses on identifying whether a deepfake-related compromise has occurred within an organisation. You will learn how such incidents can happen, how to spot them, and what signs may indicate that internal systems or employees have been targeted.
Facilitated by our forensic experts, this part covers how to conduct an internal investigation when company policies are violated. We will explore scenarios where employees unintentionally cooperate with attackers, and how to handle such situations professionally, including evidence collection and escalation steps.
In this part, we focus on the consequences of deepfake-related incidents, from financial and reputational damage to operational risks. You will learn how to assess the extent of harm and how to implement practical mitigation measures to prevent recurrence.
This module builds overall awareness of deepfake threats, how the technology works, and how it is used by attackers. It also introduces participants to the broader range of cybersecurity tools and services, including simulation tools, media safety tips, and protective strategies.
This course is designed for professionals from all areas of an organisation who may be exposed to manipulated media or impersonation risks, including:
No prior technical knowledge is required.
After successful completion of the training course, participant will receive PwC's Certificate.
