The Ministry of e-Government of Bulgaria has introduced a platform for issuing work permits. The platform allows the electronic exchange of documents for obtaining work and residence permits on the territory of the country.
Automatization of work permit processes
The automatization significantly reduces the transfer of documents on paper, which results in less delays in the review of the submitted applications. On the other hand, the transfer of data is completely digital, which allows access on the platform for all of the participants in the process. The successful implementation of the optimization of the processes in the platform results in significant reduction of the timeframe of the procedures.
In practice
The platform offers free access with a PIC and/or electronic signature, and has sections for submitting new applications, monitoring already submitted applications and their progress, information about a specific foreigner, as well as the possibility of appealing and executing instructions electronically.
After indicating the type of work permit, the data on applicants and their quality are filled in, on the person of the applicant, as well as on the employer, and the documents required by law are attached to them.
Until now, submitting the documents, as well as monitoring the current status of the procedure, in itself was a time-consuming administrative burden requiring procedural time.
The platform provides employers with the opportunity to unify and simplify the processes of hiring foreigners as employees.
